ABOUT SCJGA

St Croix Junior Golf Association operates exclusively for charitable, educational and athletic purposes. It is a non-profit association that relies on donations, grants and fundraising to operate through out the year. 

In 2007 the SCJGA was awarded a matching grant from the United States Golf Association. The grant of $17,500 was awarded for use towards; instruction, equipment, course access and local transportation. In order to keep these funds the organization must match dollar for dollar, $17,500 by October 2008. 

In September 2008, the Hovensa Corporate Golf Challenge was held.  The associations efforts were a success in meeting the matching grant from the USGA, thanks to generous sponsorship and participation from the community in this tournament.  The St Croix Junior Golf Association will be able to continue our fall and holiday golf clinics in 2008.  We will hold more clinics in 2009, so check out the calendar for our schedule.

The current Board of Directors consists of 8 members, who oversee the operation of programs, clinics, tournaments and use of grant monies. Current board members are: Debi Smith, Cosmo Williams, Mike Cumbermack, Diane Burns, Kevin Scott, John Beagles, Greg Hamilton and Connie Gustafson. This board operates on a volunteer basis.
